This weekend in Germany, the Palestinian boxer enters the big leagues and becomes one of the 40 best boxers in the world. A win in a potential upcoming intercontinental title defense could open the doors to a world championship.
IBA takes world titles very seriously, as we often see other federations organizing so-called world championships that lack any legitimacy. Given our rich history of legendary boxers, we owe every world title a certain level of respect and legitimacy.
Being a world champion is something earned, and it is not open to just anyone.
